Cypress is a second year Clarinettist, currently reading BA Music at Bath Spa University. Over the years she has been a part of various ensembles, including School, County and University Wind Bands, Orchestras, and Choirs. She also set up her own Clarinet Ensemble during her time at sixth form.

Most recently, Cypress has been a part of the Bath Spa University productions of the Offenbach Opera 'Orpheus in the Underworld' and Shostakovich' famous Fifth Symphony in which she played the Eb Clarinet. She is now currently working on the Romeo and Juliet overture by Tchaikovsky with the Bath Spa orchestra.

As a solo performer, Cypress thoroughly enjoys playing modern, solo pieces for clarinet. Recent examples of her chosen repertoire include Stravinsky's Three Solo Pieces, and most recently the Solo clarinet movement from Messiaen's Quartet for the End of Time.

Although she has been taught, and tends to play the standard Bb Clarinet, Cypress has various levels of experience in the A, Eb, Bass and Alto Clarinets also.

Cypress' other main areas of interest are in Composition and Peripatetic teaching. She would be available to give any individual tuition on the Clarinet around the Bath area and would generally charge £10/30min, or £15/45min lessons.
